Just weeks from being staged March 9—18, South By Southwest (SXSW) announced 15 more speakers.
They included Nile Rodgers of Chic, actor and former Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger, actress Dakota Fanning and Wu-Tang Clan co-founder U-God.
Both Rodgers and U-God are on the Music Culture & Stories panel about their contributions to music, while the latter will also talk about his upcoming book on Wu-Tang.
Schwarzenegger joins POLITICO’s Off Message Featured Session (Government).
He is speaking about his own principles for effective governing, why he made gerrymandering and other issues his crusades after finishing his term as governor of California, and what he sees for the future of American politics.
Fanning joins the An Informal and Candid Conversation with Female Leaders in Television Featured Session (Entertainment Influencers).
The panel looks at Hollywood’s serious disparity problems when it comes to male/female representation, sexual misconduct, executive leadership, but the current dialogue in reshaping women’s place in the entertainment world.

SXSW has also added as a keynote speaker Nonny de la Peña, a pioneer in virtual and augmented reality.
She is founder and CEO of the award-winning Emblematic Group, renowned for using cutting-edge technologies to tell immersive stories that create intense, empathic engagement on the part of viewers.
SXSW chief programming officer Hugh Forrest said, "A visionary storyteller, Nonny de la Peña has redefined the standard for how human creativity and technology can work together seamlessly to create engaging narratives and life-changing experiences.
