Nova 96.9 appoints Sydney Senior Publicist

NOVA Entertainment has announced the appointment of Zoe Walsh as Senior Publicist for Nova and smoothfm in Sydney.

With six years’ experience across entertainment, consumer, lifestyle and major event sectors, Zoe most recently held the role of Senior Account Manager at integrated communications agency, Bastion Effect in both Melbourne and Sydney.

Key to Zoe’s role was driving influencer and celebrity engagement for the business alongside leading a number of Bastion Effect’s key consumer and lifestyle clients.

Zoe has strong experience in media relations, event management and talent liaison, having worked in the Publicity team at the Nine Network in Melbourne, before joining Undertow Media (now Bastion Effect).

Luke Minto, NOVA Entertainment’s Sydney General Manager said, “Zoe is a very talented publicist, with experience across a range of mediums, she’ll be a great addition to our Sydney publicity team.”

Zoe will be responsible for publicising the Nova and smoothfm media brands in Sydney and developing initiatives for Nova’s national programs including Nova’s Kate, Tim & Marty drive show and Smallzy’s Surgery night show.

She will work closely with closely with Jane Elliott, NOVA Entertainment’s National Publicity Director, and Cathrine Mahoney, Nova 96.9 Senior Publicist.

Zoe will commence in the role on Monday 19 September.
