New Magic Brand for NZ

MediaWorks is launching a national brand in New Zealand with Magic to launch April 20.

The Magic brand will be programmed by Ian Avery who is also the CD for The Breeze.

MediaWorks has also announced the On-Air line-up which includes Mark Leishman with Magic in the Morning, Bob Gentil across the day and Mark Smith on Drive from 2pm-7pm.

“With the success of The Sound and The Breeze we have a very strong position at the top end of the 25-54 demographic.  Our research shows Magic will complement these brands and fill a significant gap in the market with an attitude and playlist that is currently missing from New Zealand radio,” said MediaWorks Radio CEO Wendy Palmer.
