Stereosonic launches own radio show
Stereosonic the music festival, now becomes Stereosonic Presents, the radio show.
Stereosonic have teamed up with Nova Entertainment to present a one hour show each Saturday at midnight.
Stereosonic is known for breaking emerging artists from the house, techno, trance, bass, electro and EDM music scene including Calvin Harris, Tiesto, NERVO, Skrillex and Alesso.
One of the hottest commodities on the Australian dance music scene Tigerlily, hosted the first Stereosonic Presents’ show Saturday night.

Grant Broadcasters launch new radio brand
Friday at midnight GOLD launched, serving Bendigo & Central Victoria. GOLD is a new brand for Grant Broadcasters.
It’s format will broadly target 40-60-year-olds. It will also feature the Neil Mitchell Show and sports coverage including AFL Live, Off the Bench and Sportsday.
There is no word yet as to whether the GOLD brand will move to other markets within the group.
Hot FM Townsville launch new Breakfast Show
Bec Lee, formerly an announcer with K-Rock in Geelong on Breakfast and Mornings, has jumped ship from Grant Broadcasters to join Southern Cross Austereo.
Lee has joined SCA’s Hot FM in Townsville, partnering with long-term Breakfast host Guy Clifton, as the new ’Cliffo & Bec’ Breakfast show.
The Townsville market is highly competitive, with four commercial FM stations.
GfK releases AudienScope survey results
The Second AudienScope insights have been released by Commercial Radio Australia and GfK.
With the GfK radio ratings provide the data on “who” is listening to “what”, the AudienScope looks at the reasons “why” by digging a little deeper into listeners’ behaviours.
The latest national online survey shows commercial radio listeners "build a strong, lasting and deep relationship with their favourite station and they like to talk about what they’ve heard."
