oztix partnership with alh group leads to more live music opportunities

A new partnership between Australian independent ticketing company Oztix and hospitality and venue group ALH Group will see more music acts get gig opportunities.

ALH Group has over 330 venues nationwide, which will now use Oztix’s full suite of integrated ticketing services.

“It enables them greater operational efficiency in the entertainment in their venues portfolio because they are now dealing with just one ticketing agency to cover the whole process,” Oztix’s Commercial Director Seth Clancy told TMN.

“Oztix’s network is deep, because we have strong ties with venues and promoters.”

Oztix, which set up in 2003, tickets more venues than any other ticketing company in Australia. 

Based in Brisbane, it has offices on the Gold Coast as wel as in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth and a sister company in Auckland called NZtix. 

What it is also offering ALH is insight from 1.5 million national subscribers and 2.8 million customer databases.

Oztix works with 500 venues on an exclusive basis and 5000 venues non-exclusively. 

Clancy tells TMN that 90% of its business is with live music, “it’s the lifeblood of what we do, and is an important sector of the entertainment industry.”

The other 10% covers exhibitions, sports, comedy and events such as corporate events and Cup Day,

ALH Group’s four divisions cover licensed venues (330), retail liquor outlets (550), electronic gaming machines and property development which focuses on acquiring and redeveloping venues. 

In a statement, its Commercial Manager Mario Volpe said: “ALH are pleased to be able to partner with Oztix. The industry is become more sophisticated than just ticketing and we look forward to utilising Oztix’s extensive marketing platforms to grow our entertainment offer”.
