Pandora, the go-to music source for fans and artists,today announced it’s changing the way people enjoy music in their cars by partnering withUber. Starting today, Pandora will be integrated directly within the Uber driver app, givingdrivers a simple and seamless way to discover, enjoy and share their favorite stations. Nowdrivers can create stations, thumb songs, and discover new artists all in one place. Pandora willbe an integral part of every Uber driver’s day.

“Pandora is delivering the perfect music experience for both Uber drivers and riders,” said NickMarcantonio, senior product manager, Pandora. “Effortless, personalized and elegantlyintegrated into the app, the Pandora-Uber solution will transform the in-car listeningexperience.”

“Many drivers already use music to get their day started on the right note, but it can bechallenging to find high quality music that both drivers and riders love—without radio ads andinterruptions to the music. This integration, which will allow drivers to play music on Pandorafrom directly within the Uber app, will make it easier for drivers and riders to listen to the musicthey love,” said Bob Cowherd, senior product manager for music and media, Uber.


With Pandora available directly within the Uber driver app in the US, Australia, and NewZealand, there will be a whole new class of music lovers listening and engaging throughout theirday. And coming soon, riders will be able to personalize their experience when they are on anUber trip. Every rider that is registered with Pandora will have access to their favorite stationsright at their fingertips, so they can easily listen through the car speakers.Together, Pandora and Uber are creating a seamless and collaborative music experience foreveryone, so fans and drivers can easily access their favorite music, whether they’recommuting, running errands or on their way to their favorite show.
