Adelaide has a new independent music label, with the launch of Part Time Records (PTR).

PTR is up and running in partnership with Remote Control Records, and has announced its first signing; Siberian Tiger.

Siberian Tiger is a new musical venture between Chris Panousakis (Timberwolf) and Bree Tranter (The Middle East, Matt Corby).

Emma Coyle and Joel Byrne are the names behind the new imprint, and tell TMN the goal is to spotlight Adelaide artists.

"Being from Adelaide, where the music industry is small, isolated and often overlooked, we wanted to set up a label to shine a light on some of our favourite artists from the local scene as well as further afield," they say.

"We’re excited to be partnering with Remote Control Records and we’re looking forward to our first release this July with Siberian Tiger - the collaborative musical debut of Chris Panousakis and Bree Tranter."
