paul paoliello named international ceocoo of murphy petrol group

Paul Paoliello began this week as International CEO/COO of CM Murphy’s Sydney-based Murphy Petrol Group.

He was previously Director of Business Development for Murphy Rights Management, which he will continue to oversee along with the group’s Petrol Records and the upcoming Murphy Music Academy.

South African-born Paoliello was the Singapore based Chief of Jive/Zomba Asia Pacific for three years and rose to GM then MD of Jive/Zomba Australia. He then moved into the digital realm as COO of Mercury Mobility and then as Group Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Mnet.

“His knowledge of both European and American markets make him ideally suited to this new role,” said Murphy, who believes Paoliello’s new appointment could be a “game changer” for the company.

In other changes initiated by Murphy, Paoliello will be joined by Rebecca Moore, in the role of Creative and Marketing Executive.

Melissa Barrett of Hummingbird PR is to drive synch opportunities as Creative Consultant, and specific media campaigns for Murphy Rights Management.

Long time CM Murphy consultant, Samantha Evans, will take up the role of International Development Executive and will continue to oversee the group’s International licensing activities.
