paypal for apple music itunes coming to australia soon

Not long now: Australians will finally be able to use PayPal for Apple Music and iTunes as well as App Stores and iBooks.

The feature is already available on iPhones, iPads, iPod Touches and Macs in Canada and Mexico.

It is not known when Australia gets the payment scheme, but it’s being rolled out “soon”, according to Apple in the United States.

Apple made the decision as PayPal is not a direct competitor to its own Apple Pay. It is also convenient and secure.

Until now Apple would only use users to buy digital content with a bank card or gift credit.

But the ease with which users can add a PayPal account to a new or existing Apple ID would increase Apple sales as the new service is rolled out globally.

To add PayPal to a store account, click to open the Account screen for iTunes. Then select ‘Payment Information’, select PayPal in the Payment Method options and follow the steps to authenticate.
