PRESS RELEASE:

APRA AMCOS SongHubs, the successful songwriting program recently held in Los Angeles, is focused on Electronic Dance Music (EDM) in 2015.

This was the second SongHubs event in LA this year, giving artists such as Aston Shuffle, Kilter, Yolanda Be Cool, Static Revenger, Luciana, Penelope Austin and more, the chance to collaborate and come together to produce international hits.

Penelope Austin, an Australian singer-songwriter who focuses on electro-pop music, has been chosen by the Australian Consulate to be one of the performers at Australia Rocks the Pier 2015 alongside Cut Copy and DMA. She has been writing for her upcoming album release and on August 4, 2015 collaborated with fellow Australian producer Kilter and high rising U.S. producer Wax Motif to create her new hit, Tanzanite which was the track showcased at the event.

Australia Rocks the Pier is run by the Australian Consulate and takes place annually on Santa Monica’s iconic pier, as part of the Twilight Concert Series. The concert series draws a crowd of around 10,000 fans to the pier and influential Australian and U.S. brands and media will also be invited along to the event. Australia Rocks the Pier has previously included performers such as Jagwar Ma, Missy Higgins, Ben Lee and Kasey Chambers.
