Organisers of this year’s APRA Awards, which will take place at Brisbane City Hall on June 23, have confirmed that Sheppard will head the roll call of top-line performers and presenters.
The band, who have had an astonishingly successful few months, will also join the likes of Megan Washington, Colin Hay, Melody Pool, Kirin J Callinan, Gossling and Kate Miller-Heidke scheduled to play at the event on Monday.
Ted Albert Award recipient Lindy Morrision will perform with Big Scary, and fellow Go-Betweens Amanda Brown and Robert Vickers. Carol Lloyd, Brisbane’s first lady of rock n’ roll will also step up on stage with her band.
Presenters for the 2014 APRA Awards include Australian music royalty Robert Forster and Amanda Brown, as well as Miller-Heidke.
Television partner MAX will film the 2014 APRA MUSIC AWARDS and will broadcast the event exclusively on Wednesday 9 July at 8pm, with an encore presentation at 10pm on Sunday 13 July. The broadcast will feature exclusive performances and interviews from the red carpet and backstage, as well as showcasing all the winners on the night. MAX is available on FOXTEL.
