Industry analysts are tipping that Pink’s Beautiful Trauma album is set to debut at #1 in the U.S. and the U.K.

Billboard magazine reports that the album could be 2017’s biggest debut by a female artist, with a predicted 300,000 equivalent album units generated by the end of this week.

This includes traditional album sales, track-equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).

It would be her second #1 album in the U.S. after The Truth About Love. It debuted at top spot after shifting 281,000 copies first week and went on to sell 2 million copies there.

The biggest first-week for an album by a female artist in 2017 so far is Katy Perry’s Witness with 180,000 units.

It was Perry’s third album to debut at top spot, and the highest opening in the US for a female since Lady Gaga’s Joanne in 2016. Witness dropped to #13 the week after with just 28,000 album-equivalent units in its second week.

By comparison, Beyonce’s Lemonade from May 2016 debuted with 653,000 sales in its first week, and 321,000 in its second week.

Billboard notes that helping Pink’s sales along is that it’s being offered as a bundle with concert tickets for her arena shows – something which it says worked for Metallica’s Hardwired… To Self-Destruct, Perry’s Witness, LCD Soundsystem’s American Dream and The Chainsmokers’ Memories… Do Not Open.

In the UK, chart compiler the Official Charts Company is tipping that Pink is also heading for a #1 debut.

In the midweek charts, it is out front with almost 50,000 (48,095) combined sales.

Beautiful Trauma would be her second UK chart topper, after 2008’s Funhouse.
