rdio selects last dinosaurs as august artist to watch

PRESS RELEASE:

Brisbane indie-pop outfit, Last Dinosaurs have been announced as Rdio’s most recent Artist To Watch, taking the spotlight on the music streaming service this August. Rdio is pleased to welcome the quartet into the A2W ranks as it continues its commitment to up and coming artists.

Throughout the month of August, Last Dinosaurs’ profile will be highlighted on Rdio, giving fans an exclusive glimpse into their world – what they’re listening to and what they’re loving.

Eager fans can hear the first of Last Dinosaurs’ hotly anticipated sophomore album ‘Wellness’ with ‘Evie’ and the most recent release ‘Apollo’, streaming now on Rdio. “We have been working hard on our new album Wellness for 3 years now” said Sean Caskey. “We can’t wait for the full album to be out, but for now you'll get a taste of Wellness on Rdio”.

Building excitement for the full album, ‘Apollo’ has been pitted as a shimmering slice of pop with effervescent riffs, sunset solos and a bass line that will drive you straight to the dance floor.  All ears are will be on Last Dinosaurs on 28th August when ‘Wellness’ will officially drop and be available in full on Rdio.

Launched in Australia this year, Rdio’s Artist To Watch program is an ongoing initiative that features a series of handpicked local and international artists which Rdio supports in their development and success. Sitting aside previous Australian Artists To Watch which include the likes of Alison Wonderland and Golden Features, Last Dinosaurs are in good company.

Later this year, Last Dinosaurs will be heading off around the country for their ‘Wellness’ tour, which will hit some of the largest venues the band will headline to date. Fans can hear the latest from Last Dinosaurs, plus their debut LP ‘In A Million Years’ on Rdio now.
