Record Store Day Australia again partners with Pro-Ject Audio Systems

Record Store Day Australia is the annual celebration of the record store and will once again take place in music stores right across the country on Saturday April 18 with special promotions, in-store appearances, one off releases, special offers and lots more activity soon to be announced.

Record Store Day Australia are again delighted to announce Pro-Ject Audio Systems as the official turntable partner for the event.

George Papadopoulos, chairman of the Australian Music Retailers Association (AMRA), which runs Record Store Day Australia, said “We couldn’t be happier to have Pro-Ject back on board.  Great gear for a great day.  What more can I say?” 

Sam Encel of Interdyn, the Pro-Ject distributor in Australia, said “We’re glad to be back on the team and are looking forward to working even more closely with the participating stores and providing some great prizes for music lovers who get involved in the day”

Pro-Ject is the most popular brand of turntable in Australia and sales have grown by 30% in the past year.  Pro-Ject forecasts that based on current data turntable sales are set to overtake CD player sales in the coming years.

This year music aficionados will, once again, get to enter a competition to win a Pro-Ject turntable.  There will also be packages that will help retailers stock Pro-Ject gear and help music lovers add it to their home audio system.  The Pro-Ject competition will be announced on 1 March and will open on 6 March.
