Rihanna has landed her 57th entry in the US Billboard Top 100, with Sex With Me coming in at #97.

She now ties with Madonna as fourth among women to stack up so many hits.

Billboard showed that since the Hot 100 charts were launched on August 4, 1958, Aretha Franklin tops the most successful of female artists on the Hot 100 with 73 entries. The queen of soul is followed by Taylor Swift with 69 chart hits and Nicki Minaj with 68.

Rihanna and Madonna are currently more successful than Dionne Warwick (56), Connie Francis (53), Brenda Lee (48), Mariah Carey (47), Miley Cyrus (43), Barbra Streisand (41), with Mary J. Blige, Janet Jackson and Diana Ross at 40 each.

In February this year, Rihanna made chart history when Work (with Drake) gave her her 14th #1 in the United States, overtaking Michael Jackson and Madonna.

That achievement also saw Rihanna tally with the third most amount of US #1s in history, beaten only by The Beatles (20) and Mariah Carey (18).

Rihanna stormed over Michael Jackson (13), Madonna (12), The Supremes (11), Whitney Houston (10), Janet Jackson (10) and Stevie Wonder (10).
