PRESS RELEASE:

In the midst of his WA and East Coast tour and the recent release of his stunning second EP Outside the Lines’ Riley Pearce announces today that he has inked a deal with Melbourne’s 123 Agency plus his 2015 break out single ‘Brave’ has been nominated for WAM’s Folk Song of the Year.

‘Brave’ was the first offering off ‘Outside the Lines’ and was released to an onslaught of praise; you can watch the clip for it here. Garnering features from key International music blogs including Indie Shuffle, Stereofox & Indie Current, the love flowed into Triple J and community radio.

From a childhood spent between Europe & Australia, Riley Pearce’s desire to explore and discover always seems to be reflected in his songwriting. ‘Outside The Lines’ was inspired by a recent six-month trip to Montana and is a look at the world through those of a young traveller’s eyes. In the offering Pearcecombines a delicate mix of percussive guitar, horns and smooth harmonies to achieve both a chilled and upbeat vibe in his music.

In true coming-of-age style, ‘Outside The Lines’ sees Pearce transcend from his debut EP “We Are Fools” into a more mature and honest brand of songwriting.
