Rolling Stone co-founder Jann Wenner the subject of new biography

A biography of Rolling Stone publisher and co-founder, Jann Wenner, is in the works.

The book will be penned by Joe Hagan, a contributing editor for New York magazine who has written long-form pieces about Hillary Clinton, Karl Rove, and the Bush family, among others.

Hagan will have access to Wenner’s Rolling Stone archives, with the book set for release in 2017, lining up with the magazine’s 50th anniversary.

Wenner co-founded the music bible with jazz critic Ralph J Gleason in 1967, borrowing $7,500 from family members in order to fund the venture. He currently owns 100% of Rolling Stone as well as Men’s Health and Us Weekly.
