Sia has joined the voice cast of My Little Pony: The Movie due out in late 2017.

Filmmakers Lionsgate and Hasbro announced that aside from providing the voice for the pop star character Songbird Serenade (who is based on Sia herself), Sia will contribute a pair of original songs to the soundtrack.

Also in the cast are Emily Blunt, Liev Schreiber, Kristen Chenoweth, Orange Is The New Black’s Uzo Aduba and Ant-Man’s Michael Pena.

This is by no means Sia’s first venture into filmdom. She’s provided the voice for a puppet on an episode of acclaimed Amazon series Transparent, covered Nat King Cole’s Unforgettable for the Finding Dory soundtrack, and is set to direct the film Sister, based on a script she wrote eight years ago.

Sister is set to star dancer Maddie Ziegler, who featured in four of Sia’s music videos: Elastic Heart, Big Girls Cry, Cheap Thrills and Chandelier. Sia either directed or co-directed the aforementioned videos.

In the meantime, Sia has hit a new high on the US charts with Cheap Thrills. The Sean Paul-featuring single has topped the Billboard Hot 100 today. It’s her highest position since May 2012 when Wild Ones with Flo Rida peaked at #5. However as a writer, Sia has done better, Billboard pointed out, Rihanna’s Diamonds, which she co-wrote spent three weeks at #1 in December 2012.
