singles report july 31

Enrique Iglesias wooed the Nova Network last week with ‘Subeme La Radio (Remix)’ ft. Sean Paul and now he has the chance to convert the rest of radio following its official service.

Following Nova’s early adoption, the single also makes a surprise appearance at #2 on the Most Added list. It’s the first Latin hit we’ve heard since ‘Despacito (Remix)’, which has enough power to traction well with Australian audiences.

As predicted by TMN, Louis Tomlinson commanded utmost respect at radio last week. Featuring Bebe Rexha and Digital Farm Animals, it’s now the third debut from a current 1D member to take Most Added at radio. ‘Back To You’ saw additions to 81 stations in total, outdoing any competition with minimal effort.

Turning our attention to the Hot 100, The One Direction showdown continues as Liam Payne successfully fends off Niall Horan for a second straight week.

Radio seems to split between Horan and Payne, though the latter does have an undeniable edge. Topping both spins for the Hit network and KIIS stations, Payne has come out ahead with ‘Strip That Down’ ft. Quavo. However, Nova is backing Horan’s ‘Slow Hands’, which leads the spins for the network.

DJ Khaled cracks the Top 5 with his finely tuned hit ‘Wild Thoughts’ ft. Bryson Tiller & Rihanna. Of its six charting weeks, it has spent five in the Top 10, making use of the path paved by ‘I’m The One’, which slips to #18.

‘Wild Thoughts’ places pressure on Shawn Mendes’ ‘There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back’, despite the track rising to #3 from #5 (one off its peak position achieved in mid June).

Making rapid moves up the Hot 100 is Selena Gomez’ ‘Fetish’ ft. Gucci Mane. Now at #42 from #80, the track is her third track currently sitting in the Top 50; ‘Bad Liar at #23, ‘It Ain’t Me’ (a collaboration with Kygo) at #40, and the aforesaid ‘Fetish’.
