singles report niall delivers another sure fire radio hit

In this week’s Australian Singles Report, Niall Horan hits radio with an emotional powerhouse, while Most Added comes down to the wire once again.

It’s a given that a new track by any One Direction member will always demand radio’s attention. After 3x Platinum certified ‘Slow Hands’ proved a commercial wonder, Horan tugs at the heart strings with new track ‘Too Much To Ask’, making for a timely release as ‘Slow Hands’ finally drops out of the Top 10 on the TMN Hot 100 after 17 weeks.

Fresh new cut ‘Find You’ by Nick Jonas will have Australian listeners primed for summer while Lorde’s ’Homemade Dynamite’ remix has some seriously choice features – SZA, Post Malone and Khalid – to win radio’s love all over again. The new Craig David also boasts production from hitmaker Jonas Blue.

After two weeks of incredibly close calls on the Most Added chart you’d think radio would cool their jets. Not this week though, with another close finish between #1 and #2. Five additions were all that separated Sam Smith’s ‘Too Good At Goodbyes’ and ZAYN’s ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ ft Sia.

Though both saw support from all the commercial networks, the Triple M regional network threw its weight behind Sam and proved to be the deciding factor here. Smith last charted as a feature on the Disclosure track ‘Omen’ which peaked at #20 on the Hot 100.

Hailee Steinfeld’s new single ‘Let Me Go’ with Alesso, watt and Florida Georgia Line made it at #3, collecting support across all commercial networks. Expect this one to shoot to the Top 10 in no time.

Taylor Swift sets Hot 100 debut records one week, then takes the #1 Heatseeker the next: ‘...Ready For It?’ moves the most this week now at #14 from #61, rising 47 places. She’s all over the trending and predictive charts as well, leading on the Spotify Viral chart and Shazam Future Hits chart, while also holding #5 on the latter with ‘Look What You Made Me Do’.
