In this week’s Australian Singles Report, Sam Smith takes over the top spot on the TMN Hot 100 and Peking Duk leads a blow-out week of radio additions, but it’s the host of killer new singles that take center stage at commercial radio.
Liam Payne - ’Bedroom Floor’ | EMI
‘Bedroom Floor’ will look to continue Liam Payne’s exceptional form on the Hot 100. ‘Strip That Down’ ft. Quavo enjoyed six uninterrupted weeks at #1. Follow up track ‘Get Low’ with Zedd only got as far as #29 on the chart, but we predict ‘Bedroom Floor’ to go much further at radio.
Taylor Swift - ’Gorgeous’ | UMA
Then there’s ‘Gorgeous’, Taylor Swift’s third cut off her forthcoming album Reputation. The track has a distinctively different vibe to lead single ‘Look What You Made Me Do’, sporting a fun and flirty vibe that harks back to 2014’s ARIA Diamond album 1989.

Calvin Harris - ’Faking It’ ft. Kehlani & Lil Yachty | SME
Calvin Harris brings ‘Faking It’ to the table with a duo of features including Kehlani and Lil Yachty. The Scot’s Hot 100 record is unmistakable, boasting four #1 singles on the chart, the most recent being 2016’s ‘This Is What You Came For’ ft. Rihanna.
Justin Bieber & Bloodpop - ’Friends’ ft. Julia Michaels | DEF/REP
After 10 weeks of substantial airplay, Justin Bieber & Bloodpop’s ‘Friends’ is not slowing down just yet. The official rework adds songstress Julia Michaels to the mix as she and Bieber share interchanging lead vocal duties.
Elsewhere, Sam Smith takes over the top spot on the latest TMN Hot 100 with ‘Too Good At Goodbyes’, his first ever #1 on the chart. P!NK’s ‘What About Us’ has fallen to #3 as new singles ‘Beautiful Trauma’ and ‘Revenge’ ft. Eminem gradually increase their presence.
Peking Duk enjoyed a solid week of radio additions with ’Let You Down’ ft. Icona Pop getting added to the majority of Australian commercial radio networks.
