Six Tasmanian musicians among 31 creative to get government funding
Nabbing a share in more than $305,000 through the latest round of Arts Tasmania funding.

Six Tasmanian musicians were among 31 creatives who shared in more than $305,000 through the latest round of Arts Tasmania funding.
They were:
Feminist and queer band Slag Queens, $2,935 towards an album and tour
Jazz guitarist and composer Harry Edwards, $8,705 towards developing, arranging and recording a new album.
Beatrix Vivian, $9,935 towards recording, mixing and mastering an EP of original songs.
Hobart singer and songwriter Emma Waters, who recently returned to Tasmania after 14 years in Melbourne, $10,945 towards Paradise Sessions.
Violinist Alethea Coombe, $2,200 towards attending a Creative Music Intensive.
Shan Deng, $8,190 towards a tango music residency in Argentina and concerts in Australia.

The other recipients received funding to begin or finalise projects as visual exhibitions, books, dance works, designs, mentorship, crafts and stage productions.
