EDM producer Skrillex has launched a record label where all releases will be available for free.

Nest will operate from Skrillex’ blog Nest HQ, which he launched last May as a "transparent vantage point into this culture that we all share and have created together."

The first release out through Nest is the Back to the Floor EP, by New York DJ AC Slater. On Nest HQ, Skrillex writes about his new label: "Working with both rising and established talent, the goal of Nest is to increase awareness for talent through direct download releases from the website while also providing visibility on major retailers and streaming services.

"As Nest HQ’s homepage strives to continue to be a taste-making, forward-thinking destination for music discovery, so, too, does Nest act as a home for outstanding music sourced from our growing community of artists."

Skrillex is also the co-founder of OWSLA, a vanity label which started operations in August 2011 and has released records by Zedd, Jack Beats, Alex Metric and Flume’s What So Not. The two labels will be ran separately.
