Spit Syndicate signs to Inertia Music

One of Australia’s most dynamic Aussie hip-hop duos, Spit Syndicate return with this brand new, feel-good track. Fusing garage with trap with Spit Syndicate’s trademark sleek style, “Inhibitions” showcases a stylish, forward-thinking side to the Sydney duo and was produced by Styalz Fuego who was also at the helm for “Know Better”, their standout single from earlier this year. News of the fresh track follows the announcement of Spit Syndicate signing to Inertia Music, to release their fourth studio LP in early 2017.

“Inhibitions” is just the first taste of new music to come from Spit Syndicate. Nick Lupi and Jimmy Nice said of their intentions when writing “Inhibitions” - “We’ve always wanted to make the type of song that people wanna put on when they’re getting ready to go out, something that instantly places you in the mood. ’Inhibitions’ is your pre-party, party and kick on”.

Nick and Jimmy quickly made a name for themselves in the Sydney music scene with the release of their first album Towards The Light in 2008 which earned them an ARIA nomination. This was followed by 2010’s Exile and 2013’s acclaimed Sunday Gentlemen; each album receiving airplay and love from triple j, national tours and sold out shows across Australia.

In 2014, they reunited with high-school friends, Horrowshow, Joyride and Jackie Onassis to form the collective One Day. Together, they released one of the year’s biggest albums Mainline, which debuted at number 2 on the ARIA charts.

Speaking about signing to Inertia Music - “We’ve put damn near everything we’ve got into this album for the past little while, so it was important for us to find a label partner who can match our energy and vision for this album. We’ve found that in Inertia Music and are extremely excited about what we can achieve working together.”

Inertia Music’s managing director, Tim Kelly agrees, stating “Spit Syndicate have an incredible energy and all of us at Inertia are delighted  to be working with them. Nick and Jimmy are creating some great music and we cannot wait to share more with their fans.”
