Splendour In The Grass locks in 2018 dates

Splendour In The Grass has locked in its 2018 dates, with the festival set to take place once again at its home of five years, North Byron Parklands.

The 18th edition of Splendour In The Grass will take place from July 20 to 22, 2018, and once again will be supported by triple j.

The 2017 Splendour lineup was headlined by the XX, Queens Of The Stone Age, LCD Soundsystem and Royal Blood.

No acts have yet been announced for the 2018 Splendour, however in November Matthew Murphy of The Wombats told Music Feeds that the band had already booked in for a "very special festival" in Australia, and that Splendour was "maybe a good guess."

North Byron Parklands is located just 15 minutes north of Byron Bay, NSW.

Splendour’s latest date announcement comes just weeks after North Byron Parklands GM Mat Morris publicly backed a new proposal to turn the Parklands into a permanent festival site, suggesting that if the propsal was rejected by the government that Splendour and Falls festivals will be lost to sites in Queensland.
