Spotify hires SCA’s Andrea Ingham

Spotify has hired former Southern Cross Austereo national sales chief, Andrea Ingham, to head up its AU/NZ sales division.

Ingham will be responsible for driving ad sales revenue and strategy in the Australian and New Zealand division.

Spotify highlighted the fact that Ingham arrives at a time of record growth and innovation at Spotify, which recently rolled out an improved targeting suite as well as video advertising.

Kate Vale, managing director for Spotify Australia and New Zealand said in a statement: “Andrea is an outstanding talent and a respected leader with over 18 years’ experience across multiple media and markets.”

With roles spanning across decades, Ingham has held national sales director positions for some of Australia’s biggest media names, including eight years at Nine Network Australia.

“In just over three years Spotify has carved out a commanding lead in music streaming across Australia and New Zealand,” said Ingham. “There isn’t a more dynamic, more rapidly evolving space in digital today and I’m excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.”
