Spotify takes you on a nostalgia trip with new personalised playlist

Streaming giant Spotify has added yet another personalised playlist to its arsenal with Your Time Capsule – a 30 song compilation of all your favourite throwback numbers.

It gathers the most nostalgic tracks from each user’s teens and early twenties in order to create what Spotify calls “the ultimate soundtrack for a trip down memory lane”.

Considering Your Time Capsule intends to be a blast from the past (not what’s on the radio now), it’s only available to people aged 16 and over, and is approximately two hours in length.

Spotify have hit a purple patch in recent times with the increasing popularity of personalised playlists, giving them a competitive advantage in the highly congested streaming market.

Your Time Capsule follows on from Spotify’s Your Summer Rewind, a playlist designed to spark summer memories.

Your Time Capsule is available now to users in Spotify’s 60 markets and can be found the top of Home or in the Decades section of Browse on Spotify’s mobile apps for iOS and Android. Check it out here.
