Spring King sign to Dew Process / UMA

Dew Process and UMA has signed Manchester four-piece as they push to the forefront the band’s new single ‘Rectifier’.

‘Rectifier’ premiered over night in the UK as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record In The World on her BBC Radio 1 show, and then made its Australian radio debut on triple j this morning - its heavy beats landing like dropped bags of cement, guitar notes echoing into deep outer space, and Tarek Musa’s post punk vocals urging you to bark along with him as the whole chaotic ride builds into the party anthem chorus.

It’s just another push on the gas pedal for the incredible momentum that Spring King have managed to accelerate in the last year. Headed up by drummer/vocalist/producer Musa and featuring guitarists Pete Darlington and Andrew Morton as well as bassist James Green, Spring King is a band whose rise has been so spectacular, it’s literally never going to be repeated – and no that’s not hyperbole.

After emerging in 2014, early singles got heat, buzz started to hum like a broken amp, and they were steadily building their audience. Then they made a new fan in a guy by the name of Zane Lowe and all hell broke loose.

The legendary taste maker and radio host not only loved the band, he decided to make them a part of history - choosing their song ‘City’ as the very first song he would play on his debut broadcast of Apple’s Beats 1 radio. Ever since that watershed moment, the rest of the world has been trying to catch up with just how electrifying this band is.

They’ve since grown to become favourites of the likes of NME, The Guardian, Stereogum, DIY and The Line of Best Fit; have been play-listed at Radio 1, 6 Music and triple j; toured with Courtney Barnett, Slaves and FIDLAR, as well as playing one of the breakout performances at last year’s instalment of the legendary Reading Festival – and that’s all without an album out!

With the revs well and truly in the red, and considering how much heat is already surrounding bangers like ‘Who Are You?’ and ‘Rectifier’ odds are it’s only a matter of time before this band completely explodes.
