Multi-talented Perth producer, photographer and collaborator, Ta-ku last year launched a weeklong ‘In Residence’ program from Sydney’s Golden Age Cinema. Bringing together his projects Create & Explore, Team Cozy and a curated selection of creative guests, Ta-ku led a series of discussions to coincide with his Songs to Make Up To photo exhibit. The residency concluded with invitational photo walks led by Create & Explore across the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House.
Today, Ta-ku announces the program’s second instalment,‘823’. The creative residency will visit his hometown Perth’s FORM Gallery for two days only, with an exhibition of photos by Ta-ku and videos from Sam Price, titled ‘Thinking Of You’. Ta-ku will launch the residency with an evening Q&A at FORM Gallery on Thursday 23 February, preceding the exhibition’s run across Friday and Saturday.
Inspired by his film photography, ‘823’ shares Ta-ku’s fascination into the analogue processes of film that documents world travels and collaborations with creatives from different mediums. The photos on display act as a journal of his personal experiences.
For those who cannot get along to the events, content produced as part of the residency will also be available to view at dropeverything.com.au.
