tash sultana signs worldwide publishing deal with kobalt

Independent music services company Kobalt has announced the signing of Tash Sultana to a new publishing deal.

The self-taught multi-instrumentalist and singer has had a breakthrough 2017, and Kobalt will now handle publishing administration, global synch and creative support services for all of Sultana’s past and future music.

“We are thrilled to work with Kobalt on a global level, while staying true to Tash’s core values, strong independent beliefs and owning her music," says Regan Lethbridge of Sultana’s management company Lemon Tree Music.

Kobalt Music Australia managing director Simon Moor is equally excited about the new deal.

“Speaking with Tash early on, it became clear that Tash represented the new paradigm of artist and songwriter, where ownership, creative control, and transparency are paramount," says Moor.

"At Kobalt, these are the pillars of the company, and we are honoured to be working with Tash and her management team, Regan Lethbridge, Jaddan Comerford, David Toethuis and David Morgan, providing global administration, synch and creative services.”

Sultana’s debut album is expected to be released in 2018, while she’ll also form part of the lineup for brand new Australian festival Sydney City Limits in February 2018.
