PRESS RELEASE:

Undr Ctrl presents the third installment of its intimate music series The Island LIVE, returning to your favourite Sydney Harbour location on Friday 7th October.

With previous guests including Boys Noize, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Motez, Kilter, Bag Raiders, Roland Tings, Yolanda Be Cool, Hayden James and The Aston Shuffle, you can expect another action-packed season featuring more of the biggest artists around.

It kicks off the season with a bang, welcoming DJ, producer, record label manager, rad sketcher and all round BOSS Nina Las Vegas to headline the opening party alongside very special guest Yahtzel, rising star Third Floor and music-blog-gods Stoney Roads DJs.

Easily one of the most influential figures on the domestic music scene, Nina Las Vegas has played just about every music festival in the country, starred alongside the likes of MIA, Pharrell Williams and Mark Ronson and filled our ears for years on the triple j airwaves.

In 2015, with touring in high demand and her pool of creative artists increasing, Nina left the radio station to launch NLV Records, giving her another platform to champion innovative dance music across the world and tour (alongside her NLV artists) across North America, Europe and Australia. Next up is Yahztel, also known as one half of production powerhouse Carmada (with LDRU).

With the nod of approval from Nina, plus Skrillex and Diplo… it’s no wonder Yahtzel has been pegged as one of the hottest producers in the country since blowing up in 2013 with his debut single Girls and a regular on the national touring circuit most recently supporting Odesza and rocking Splendour in the Grass.

Having only recently premiered his live show to rave reviews, Third Floor is definitely one to watch over the next 12 months. With his debut 4 track EP ‘Dream State’ out now, his marriage of visual and sonic expression is making some serious waves right now and we’re super excited to present his second ever show on the night.

And of course, the two lil’ cherries on top, Stoney Roads DJs will be supplying their unmistakable vibes at sea just as the sun goes down.

Look out for a brand new Sydney Harbour location – which will be used frequently throughout the summer and launched this October.

Ticket prices have been frozen from last year and a limited number of new VIP drinks packages will be available for the first time.

Head to www.theislandsydney.com.au for more details.

As before, the ticket price includes two free drinks on arrival (thanks to partners Coors and Rekorderlig) plus a complimentary water taxi service from Man O’ War Steps to transport you safely to the venue.

Tickets are priced $55+BF (1st Release) and $75+BF (Final Release).
