The McClymonts hit 52 weeks on ARIA Country Albums chart

The McClymonts, have added a new milestone to their list of achievements with their latest album, ‘Here’s To You & I’, amassing 52 weeks on the ARIA Country Albums Chart. The multi-award winning work becomes the first new album of original material by an Australian signed Country act to achieve this feat since Lee Kernaghan’s ‘Beautiful Noise’ released in 2012. 

The news comes two weeks after Sam McClymont was announced as the new host Australia’s most successful reality dating program ‘The Farmer Wants A Wife’ which will be coming soon to Nine. It has been a banner year for the group, with ‘Here’s To You & I’ producing three hit singles; two of which were nominated for the APRA Award for Country Work of the Year (“Going Under (Didn’t Have To)” & “Here’s To You & I”) while “Forever Begins Tonight” received high rotation airplay on Smooth FM and has become the “Wedding Song of the Year” to scores of fans that have reported using the ballad as the 'first dance song' at their weddings. The tour in support of the album has seen them play to packed houses nationally and is widely regarded as one of the most successful Country tours of 2014/15. 

The girls took the news of this new achievement in their natural unassuming manner, “Really?!” said Mollie, “We’re lucky to have had so much support from our fans who have bought and shared our music and the media that have helped us connect with them. We had so much fun on the road this last year and we’re excited about doing more shows, more writing, more albums and just keep on doing what we love.”

Fans heading to the Tamworth Country Music Festival will be pleased to know that The McClymonts will be performing at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment & Conference Centre on Thursday 21st January at 12.00pm. Details of the show will be announced soon and with nineteen chart topping singles drawn from four best selling albums, fans can be assured of a hit laden show featuring the sublime vocal harmonies of the sisters from Grafton.
