Press Release:

2017 will be a year to remember for young Central QLD based songstress Tia Gostelow. Not only did she celebrate her 18th birthday but she also released a hugely successful single "That’s What You Get", played to thousands of people all around the country, impressed delegates at BIGSOUND and cleaned up at the Queensland Music Awards. Now, In the lead up to the service and release of her newest and most assured single "Hunger", Tia Gostelow has signed global recording and publishing deals.

Tia is pleased to announce a recording deal for the world excluding Australia and New Zealand with forward-thinking US label AntiFragile Music. AntiFragile is the brainchild of Tom Sarig, best known as the manager for Lou Reed, Against Me and Cake. Tom was also an A&R executive at A&M and MCA Records. AntiFragile will be releasing Tia’s new single in tandem with her team in Australia and New Zealand.

Highly respected Melbourne based music company Native Tongue has also just signed Tia to a global publishing deal. Their working relationship kicks off with her inclusion in their annual songwriters camp in November. Other Native Tongue’s writers include Alex Lahey, Marlon Williams & The Jezabels. Native Tongue is also connected with LA-based music supervisors Sugaroo who are the leading lights at placing Australian music in US film and TV.

The new single "Hunger" was co-written with Little May’s Hannah Field and Liz Drummond and produced by longtime collaborator Konstantin Kersting (The Belligerents) at Airlock Studios. Tia digs into the details of how "Hunger" came about during a writing session with Little May here - "We started chatting away just having a casual conversation about music and our life and we got onto the topic of how I had been experiencing a lot of tall poppy syndrome back at home. I had always struggled with making good friends and staying in friendship groups all through out high school, I always felt a bit like I was an outsider, I wasn’t bullied or anything, I just always felt people didn’t understand what I was doing with music and how serious I was about it."

"Hunger" will be officially released on November 10 followed by a gritty performance video featuring her full band.
