tidal introduces half price student subscriptions in australia

After launching a new subscription option in the United States a few months ago, streaming service Tidal has introduced its student discount offer to Australia.

Australia was part of a roll-out to 23 countries, including those in Europe and South America.

The offer is available to all current accredited university and college students.

The Premium tier ($11.99 a month in Australia) provides exclusive access to high-profile music, videos, original video series, podcasts, livestreams, tickets, merchandise and live experiences.

The Hi Fi tier ($23.99 a month) has a greater offer of high-fidelity, CD sound quality audio streaming, as well as ‘Master’ quality recordings.

The move comes just four months after the streaming service signed a deal with US mobile provider Sprint to offer new customers six months worth of free Tidal.
