triple j breakfasts ben and liam announce stand up show debut

Ben Harvey and Liam Stapleton are set to debut a new comedy show in their hometown of Adelaide in March.

Supported by local talent Amos Gill on MC duties, the triple j Breakfast duo will also be joined by two surprise, yet-to-be-announced supports.

Ben and Liam replaced Matt Okine and Alex Dyson on the national youth broadcaster’s Breakfast show in 2017, having begun their radio careers as volunteers on Fresh 92.7 Adelaide in 2012.

No strangers to stand-up comedy, individually they both competed in the South Australian RAW Comedy State Finals in 2014.

The forthcoming shows, presented by Frontier, will take place at the Rhino Room.

These dates also represent the first time they’ve performed live stand-up since taking on the 2016 Adelaide Fringe festival with ’Ben and Liam’s Big Night Of Spiffy Banter, and Adelaide Comedy Next Gen - celebrating the city’s best up and coming talent.

The duo won Adelaide Comedy’s 2017 ’Out Of Adelaide Award recently.
