Triple j has revealed the key dates surrounding the 2021 Hottest 100, as well as new details of their partnership with Lifeline.

In a key change for this year's countdown, the Hottest 200 (counting down songs 200 – 101) will take place ahead of the Hottest 100, having previously happened the opposite way around.

The Hottest 200 will take place from 10am local time on Friday, January 21. The Hottest 100 will be counted down the following day, from 12pm AEDT.

Voting for the countdown will open on Tuesday, December 14 at 8am AEDT. Voting will stay open until 12pm AEDT on Monday, January 17.

Once again, the station will be partnering with Lifeline in an effort to raise money towards mental health of young Australians.

The network claim that Lifeline has received more calls than they ever have this year, and currently don't have the capacity to answer all the calls they receive.

Triple j are encouraging donations to Lifeline, whether that be directly or by buying a T-shirt made as part of the partnership.
