Rising Perth songstress Grace sure knows how to make a splash with her new single, albeit a downtempo, haunting and barely-there splash. Produced by TV On The Radio’s Dave Sitek, Pluto is a powerful introduction to this young songwriter, who first gained our attention a few years ago when she wrote under her full name Grace Woodroofe.

Pluto marks a vivid new direction for Grace, a brooding, synth-driven track held together by minimalist percussion and a voice which instantly sucks you in, wanting more. If this is anything to go by, we can only expect bigger things from Grace, especially as – along with Sitek – she has recently teamed up with producers Sam Spiegel and Dann Hume and just finished up supporting alt-J on their recent mini-tour of the country.
