Sydney lads DMA’S have had a pretty meteoric rise over the last two years; not only have they grown their fan base both locally and abroad, but musically as a group. Their debut EP harked back to the glory days of the 90s Brit-pop scene, with some critics saying a little too much, but have since honed in on a sound which although is still steeped in their UK influences, has now taken on its own shape.

This is most evident in their new track Too Soon, which received its world premiere earlier this week on triple j when the Newtown lads came in to have a chat with Matt & Alex.

"It was one of the first songs we had where each of us had separate ideas and we just put them together and it just worked... like a Frankenstein kind of thing," guitarist Johnny Took said about Too Soon. The track will feature on their debut album Hills End out February 26.

It’ll be a busy 2016 for the band, who head out on the road as a part of the Laneway festival and have just been announced as one of the few Aussie bands appearing at Coachella in April.
