TAME IMPALA
Let It Happen

Ok so I realise this song is a week old, but hot damn I still can’t get enough of it. Over the last seven years, Tame Impala have excelled in crafting a unique neo-psychadelia sound that has grown and developed along with the band. Their first two albums were close to perfection, both winning the J Award for Album of the Year as well as countless fans worldwide, so when Kevin Parker drops an 8-minute psych odyssey out of nowhere – the first taste of LP #3 – the world sits up and takes notice.

Continuing their growth of song writing, Let It Happen is a song in three parts which takes the undeniable Tame Impala feel and launches it into a celestial realm, moving in between disco, funk, electronic and more. Just when you think it’s done enough it takes another turn and with each listen it gives out something new.

Tame Impala are about to head off on a US tour and a stack of international festivals like Coachella, Bestival and Electic Picnic, and while no news on Australian dates or an official release for their new album, we’re pretty excited about what they’ll unleash in 2015.
