FEATURE ALBUM

The Avalanches - Wildflower
[Modular/EMI]

How do you follow up a sixteen year gap filled with countless rumours, false starts and huge expectations? That’s a massively daunting task which the Melbourne group have blown out of the water. Wildflower is a patchwork of samples and original instrumentation, meshed with a kaleidoscope of ideas and melodies. It’s a natural progression from their iconic debut, as if no time had passed between records, while still sounding as pioneering and futuristic as possible.
