Decked out in Ansett Australia skivies and double-breasted power suits Melbourne’s Client Liaison not only embrace but live their turn of the ’90s synth-pop persona. Though they wouldn’t be able to comprehend the advent of digital radio it’s been nonetheless a blast to have the duo as our feature artist on triple j Unearthed for the last week ahead of their set on the Moreland St Stage at Melbourne’s Laneway Festival on Saturday.

Free Of Fear follows on from the fist-clenching power ballad Feeling, but this one’s less Tina Arena and more pumping warehouse party soundtrack. Samson-locked singer Monte Morgan moves between slick new-romantic and wailing diva moods while Harvey Miller AO’s euphoric piano house just throbs relentlessly. It’s so much fun, it’s probably bad for your health.
