Less than a year since we first caught ear of the buoyant Nothing’s As It Seems and Sydney solo artist Gordi is on an unblemished streak with three for three. Second single Taken Blame showed a depth of sound and songwriting that earned Gordi a week as the Unearthed feature artist and now we have a new tune with Can We Work It Out that completes her impressive hat trick. Having previously flirted with electronic finishes to her breezy folk Can We Work It Out has Gordi shimmering with bursts of bright synths. Constant among all three tunes is Gordi’s mesmerising voice and salt of the earth songwriting.
