Much of the music that comes through triplejunearthed.com is made by musicians that are still finessing their sound and exploring the artist that they want to become. That’s par for the course with Unearthed, we’ve always been about discovering raw talent from around the country and spotlighting it to an Australian music loving audience. But every so often something comes through the Unearthed platform that seems to have come out perfectly formed and realised on the first go.

That’s the feeling that the Unearthed team got when mysterious Melbourne outfit Life Is Better Blonde appeared on Unearthed with their song Mine. The song’s layers of fuzzing, fritzing organs and a percussive swarm of clicks and glitches provide a deconstructed bed for a  sombre lead vocal that walks a blurry line between organic and synthetic. These purposefully staccato parts give Mine this stop-start motion effect before they all come together in a mesmerising moment.
