The Melbourne band's vocalist Jarrad Brown has said the vocals for the album's title track stemmed from a freestyle over the top of the track's layered, genre-defying continuum. But it's this embryonic remiss that makes Dorsal Fins one of the most clear cut experimentalists to defy the now ubiquitous Melbourne Sound - and they do it with horns.
