FEATURE ALBUM

Northlane - Node
[UNFD]

Following a social media scavenger hunt that tested fans' zeal and coding skills - where clues were left in braille and in numbers taken from the classic phone keyboard - an instrumental version of first taster Ra was released. This was followed by a video for Obelisk and most recently, 26 snippets were unveiled for the track Leech.

While it's clear Northlane fans are as tech-savvy as they are committed, the band's forthcoming LP has a hard act to follow. Singularity, the last album recorded with original frontman Adrian Fitipaldes, peaked at #3 on the ARIA chart, was voted #1 album by triple j Short Fast Loud listeners and #1 album by triple j The Racket listeners in 2013. With Marcus Bridge now offering a favoured aesthetic to Northlane's sound, Node is serrated in parts, hypnotic in others, but carrying on Fitipaldes' legacy, always pointed.
