FEATURE ALBUM

Florence + The Machine – How Big How Blue How Beautiful

[Island/Universal]

Florence + The Machine is back, and in a big way. Following the epic single that was Ship to Wreck, Florence Welch delivers her third studio album How Big How Blue How Beautiful this week, and it showcases her most angsty and personal side yet.

Produced by Markus Dravs (Björk, Arcade Fire, Coldplay) with contributions from Paul Epworth, Kid Harpoon and John Hill, this album is a collection of select tracks that best show-off Florence + The Machine’s raw, unhinged and powerful sound. Debut single What Kind of Man is an uplifting and defiant anthem, while Ship to Wreck builds to a tumultuous swell with its combination of live sounds, rich tunes and Welch’s spectacular delivery. All in all, she is as enigmatic and flourishing as ever, showcasing her best vocal performance yet.
