FEATURE ALBUM

Bring Me The Horizon - That's The Spirit
[Sony]

Bring Me The Horizon are one of the few acts living up to their reputation. That's The Spirit, the fifth album from the Sheffield metal core quintet, edges one more step closer to commercial accessibility. Though it traffics in the same elements which sent previous releases Sempiternal and There Is a Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It a Secret to the top of the ARIA chart, the song craft is now underpinned with tender charisma.

With lyrics like "True friends stab you in the front" (on True Friends) and "Don’t sugarcoat me, cause I feel like suicide" (on Avalanche), BMTH are now in that perfect midpoint between radio mainstay and misunderstood delinquent.

ADDS
