ultra music unveils inaugural melbourne date venue

Miami’s Ultra Music Festival will make its Australian debut with a single show at Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne on February 24 next year.

It will be followed in 2019 with the full scale extravaganza which will take in Melbourne and Sydney, with the production boasting cutting edge technology, pyrotechnics, dazzling lighting and A-list EDM performers.

The Australian shows are staged by PSV Group Australia with Melbourne’s Lucky Ent. and WAO.

The Music Bowl has developed itself into an ideal EDM destination, with Above & Beyond and It’s A Fine Day held there, with a great response from crowds and organisers.

The February 2018 event is part of the Road To Ultra series, which the American promoters’ global arm UMF Worldwide use to test the market.

Ultra Music has been steadily rolling out globally, staging 26 events in 17 countries last year.

This September it tackles the Asian market, where EDM is showing the strongest growth.
