PRESS RELEASE:

Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) has signed pop superstar and songwriter Ariana Grande to an exclusive, worldwide publishing agreement, it was announced today by Jody Gerson, Chairman and CEO of UMPG.

Through the deal, UMPG will represent Grande’s entire catalog, including her No.1 albums, Yours Truly (2013), and her second smash album, My Everything (2014), both of which were released on Republic Records. Grande has scored multiple Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and become one of the brightest new artists of her generation.

In making the announcement, Gerson said: “Ariana Grande’s global success is a testament to her incredible talent and instincts as an artist and a songwriter. We’re so pleased to be working with her, alongside her management and our partners at Republic, to represent her songs and help maximize opportunities around the world.”

Ariana Grande’s 2013 debut album, Yours Truly, shot to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, launching multiple hit singles and earning RIAA Gold certification. She co-wrote six of the album’s songs, including “Daydreaming,” “Better Left Unsaid,” “Piano,” “Almost is Never Enough,” “Right There,” and “Tattooed Heart.” Grande repeated her chart success on her sophomore album, My Everything.  Its debut single “Problem” (featuring Iggy Azalea) co-written by Grande, reached No.2 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking her highest-charting single to date. The song has been certified 5x Platinum by the RIAA in the U.S. alone. Other songs from My Everything include “Best Mistake,” “Be My Baby,” “Hands on Me,” “My Everything,” and “One Last Time,” the album’s fifth single which has reached No.13 (Billboard Hot 100).

Grande is currently on a worldwide tour scheduled to run through October.
