Australian-based singer songwriter Vance Joy has teamed with face-value ticket resale service Twickets for sold out Australian leg of his Lay It On Me World Tour.

He will be using his website and social media to direct fans looking to buy or resell tickets for the Australian dates to a dedicated landing page launched today: vancejoy.twickets.live

Fans will also be able to sign-up for mobile and email alerts when tickets are listed on Twickets.

This has been the latest signing for Twickets since it launched operations in Australia, the first outside its UK headquarters.

These have included a tie-up with Frontier Touring for Ed Sheeran’s huge selling visit in March, as well as with Midnight Oil and Stormzy.

Earlier this month, it also became the official face-value ticket resale service for Victoria’s sold-out heavy music festival, UNIFY Gathering.

Visitors to UNIFY Gathering’s website and socials are directed to click through to a specially created landing page on Twickets website, where festival-goers can buy and sell tickets to the festival at face-value.

As reported in TMN this week, negotiations are continuing with other music promoters and sporting codes, with more announcements expected over the next few months.

Of today’s signing, Danny Hannaford, who heads up Twickets Australia from its Melbourne base, said: “It’s great to be teaming up with Vance Joy and his team to be able to offer people a fair alternative to the secondary sites and their swindling.

“We’re finding that Twickets is getting a great reception here in Australia, both from fans and industry alike, and we look forward to growing our service with more official partnerships in the coming months.”
